Last minute discounts??

A lot of the rental agencies advertise a last minute discount. Does anybody know what is considered last minute or has had any luck negotiating a low price a few weeks before your travel date? We have had our airfaire booked for months to travel over Thanksgiving. My BF ruptured his hamstring and had surgery 5 weeks ago to reattach it to his pelvic bone. Today his surgeon gave him the green light to make the trip (with limitations like NO snorkeling

) and we have just started looking at villas that don't have a ton of stairs.

I would think a few people would give some good rates, why have it empty. Sounds like SJ has a good idea for your boyfriend, It wouldn't be much fun if you couldn't be in the water.

Contact the villa owners directly.

I received 4 offers of discount from villa owners directly- I believe I contacted 5. On the villa I booked, I had contacted the owner who offered me a great discount and then put me in touch with their management agency to handle the rest.

Hey jaytee, did you check out that website for floatation devices for your boy friend? You should try a dive vest and just have him use his arms, or maybe one of those float chairs with cup holders and he can float while you snorkel.
