Yet another villa post...

Post by Sunny »

Hello!

We have finally decided on our dates for our May 2010 trip - I am so excited - we are going 5/19 - 5/30. We are going to spend a couple of days at the Westin then check into a villa soooooooo.....

I am making myself crazy trying to find the perfect villa (Sunset view, king or queen beds, pool, equal bedrooms, etc) :) . After many many hours I have narrowed it down to 4 - I would appreciate any feedback anyone has

1. Argonauta Villa - If anyone has stayed here do at least 3 of the bedrooms have good water views?

2. Vistaero

3. Aurora Villa

4. Infinity Villa

Thanks so much!

Hi Sunny,
We stayed at Argonauta last year - GREAT villa. The bedrooms are not completely equal, but they are all very nice. The two pod bedrooms have front and side decks and wonderful views. The inside upstairs bedroom (up the spiral staircase) has a side deck and a nice view too. The inside main floor bedroom does not have a deck or view. However, the main wraparound deck and pool deck are so beautiful, that's where we all hung out anyway. I hope this helps. Have fun!

Hi Caribemom!

Thanks so much for the information. I have one more quick question - for the 3rd bedroom up the spiral staircase - Is there a view from inside the room or just out on the deck?

Thanks!

Mmmm. I didn't stay in that room, but I think you have to be on the deck for the view.

Hi Sunny,

I have rented Argonuata twice. It is a GREAT house. The views from the upstairs bedroom are partial water view and then down over the pool deck. Here is the view:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/756189439/" title="view from upper bdr by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1135/756 ... f2f022.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="view from upper bdr"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/756219695/" title="upper bedroom view by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1136/756 ... 6221f1.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="upper bedroom view"></a>

Garden, house side view from the bed:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/756188345/" title="upper bdr by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1063/756 ... 2a49e0.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="upper bdr"></a>

And the scary spiral staircase to that room!!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/757046218/" title="spiral staircase to upper bdr by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1029/757 ... 65028e.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="spiral staircase to upper bdr"></a>

The best room is definitely the one directly across from the living pod. It has three glass walls. This is the view from the bed:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/756223489/" title="argonauta master bedroom view by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1005/756 ... e2374b.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="argonauta master bedroom view"></a>

Second best view is the pool deck room:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/182989383/" title="argonauta pool, full view by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/22/18298 ... 6c0830.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="argonauta pool, full view"></a>

The fourth room has no view, and also shares its bath with the living room/kitchen.

If you have any questions about the house, ask away!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Thank you so much - This is all great information - I am running the "final" villa list by everyone this weekend - This is my favorite house so hopefully they will all like it too - It is just so hard to find a 3 bedroom house where all the room are equal & have equal views

We stayed at Vistaero, is there anything specific you'd like to know? I wrote a villa review with most of the details. We really liked it -- great house for a large group, huge pool, spectacular view, lots of room for everyone to spread out. Would definitely stay again.

Don't mean to throw another villa at you, but you seem to be in need of a villa with 3 bedrooms that have great/similar views. We rented Calypso Del Sol in 2007 and it was awesome. Huge pool and very comfortable.

Hi Sunny,
I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
FYI if you have not already purchased your airline tickets...Delta's flights have gone up since last week. We switch flights in Atlanta before heading over this summer. I am not sure about your airline options but just wanted you to be aware of this!
Take care,
Jo
