I thought you usually left the great white north and came down to the civlization of Detroit to catch your flight? It's hard to get those skis on the EMB-120s for those short glacier runways.

When Delta messed up my flights, the agent I called was RUDE as heck and didn't want to help me. All he wanted to do was refund me my money. I got a great deal on my tickets and was not going to let them off the hook. After 2 LONG hours on the phone, I got decent flights out of a totally different airport. Was supossed to fly out of O'hare, and now am flying out of South Bend, Indiana. Works better for me since it is about 1 hour 15 minutes closer to my house, but it wa sa pain in the a$$. No customer service at all. They would rather give your money back then try to work it out. No wonder the airlines keep going bankrupt.

HA HA Rick you are too funny

Yes, we do pull out the dog sleds & make our way to Detroit for our flights out.

These flights are from Detroit..... But it appears all is well. Man they sure know how to Play with your head.....

If we have to go by dog sled we will be there :D

Sorry to hear that Shopper. I hope it works out for you with new flights.

You know Rick is not used to "the north" as we are. I guess he also believes there are polar bears on the streets in Sweden

Glad that it all worked out.

Maybe they'll cancel your return flights and you can stay an extra week and play with me :D

Sweden? Herring. Norway? Polar Bears.

I always wanted to drive to Nordkapp.

Delta seems to be the absolute worst at alerting customers to schedule changes.

Our upcoming STJ wedding/honeymoon trip was originally booked on Delta. At 4 months out I made another reservation for work and while I was logged on I figured I would check my STT reservation.

The ATL-STT leg was canceled and rescheduled for departure the following day. They didn't bother to change the CVG-ATL flight so we would have been in ATL over night! No email, no phone call, no communication at all. I called Delta and the best the rep could do was get us to SJU but it would be our responsibility to get from SJU to STT. Needless to say the tickets were canceled and money was refunded. It seemed like they didn't want to get us there unless it was convenient to their schedule.

Now we're booked on USAir and they alert us almost immediately even if it's just a gate change. It also turned about to be about $150.00 cheaper per ticket and a shorter travel day.

I've been a Delta FF/SM member for 25 years now. It's getting harder and harder to be loyal to the "New Delta".

Last month on Friday nite at 10:30 PM,I received a recorded call from Delta telling me that our leg, from Jackson to Atlanta, then to SJ at 6:00 AM the NEXT morning was cancelled and rebooked for Sunday.Needless to say that when you are in SJ mode that is unacceptable. We were in the middle of a surprise birthday party for our 16 year old with all her friends.I really hated to let them see me cry.
We called 4 different Delta numbers before we got an actual human being. At first there was nothing they could do so I told them that's okay,we'll just drive to Atlanta and make our connecting flight. It's midnight now and Atlanta is a 7 hour drive. He said he can't make that change. We are already rebooked for Sunday.I then proceeded to explain the SJ experience and what missing one day would mean I think he actually got it.He spent the next 1 hour working on things and got us a flight out of a small town 90 minutes away at 6:00 am saturday.
He somewhat restored my faith in Delta but they really have fallen way short in last few years. But in our area you fly Delta or walk.
