birdwatchers?
Any bird people out there? I saw the ugliest goose like, duck like thing with a red turkey thing on its bill.
Its size and shape looked like a goose, but it was dark in the back of body, spotted white on brown breast...then a bill like a duck that curved down a bit at the end, with this turkey looking red thing on top of the bill.
Wish I had taken a picture...
It was outside of a building, acting like it owned it. Kindof how a goose would act.
I can't imagine what you are envisioning based on my description!

"Sponges grow in the ocean...I wonder how much deeper it would be if that didn't happen."
Sounds like a turkey vulture to me!!!!!!

not a turkey vulture. it's body was more duck/goose shaped.
and its head too except it's bill had some of that red stuff on top of it.
and the bill was still fairly flat but curved at the very end.
obviously I haven't posted in the best place to identify a bird. but I don't do any other forums and I am not willing to do any work to find out, other than look through some goose pictures online, which I did without luck...
