Just when you think you're "Out of The Woods..."
Just when you think you're "Out of The Woods..."
I'd like to thank all of you for your prayers for my brother Paul, after his accident. He's home, but still suffering.
Back when his accident happened, and he was in the hospital, our sister Lisa came to visit him from Arizona.
While here, she fell down the stairs on the way to the hospital to see Paul. She skidded down the steps, and was sent to the hospital.
She ripped up her back & butt, and since then, somehow acquired a "Flesh-Eating Virus" in & around her lower back and rectum.
I know;- it's unbelievable.
It actually took me a while to come to grips with this, and thus the lack of my brothers' updates for all of you that shared concern.
We're holding a "Beef & Beer" fundraiser now, for Lisa October 17th.
Anyone in the area is more than welcome to attend.
My Sweet Amy & I have decided to postpone our wedding until the Spring, as we plan to focus our energy & support towards the family.
I'm so grateful to you folks & your well wishes for my brother, and if I could ask another favor, - if you're in/from the area, please think about attending this function for my sister.
What the f---?!
Flesh eating disease?
It's REAL?
My sister has it?!?!
This just isn't funny.
Thanks, and always
Smiles-
Jimmy
P.S.
Info to come.

Hang in there Jim. That is a lot on your plate right now and I think it is probably the best for you and Amy to wait until your family is able to celebrate your marriage. Amy is a good catch if she has decided that your family is more important that your wedding. Don't let her get away.
I will keep your family in my prayers!

Hope to meet you some day.

Jimmy,
Wow - when it rains, it pours - for sure! So sorry to hear that you're having to deal with more - I think you were already well beyond your fair share.
As far as postponing, it's just a ceremony - a beautiful and meaningful one for sure, but you and Amy are already as one,as evidenced by the way you support each other through thick and thin.
Good luck with the fundraiser - be sure and post the details, because I'm sure that some here that won't be able to attend in person would still like to support it.
Hang in there bro!

seriously dude. that's really crazy wrong. sending positive vibes your way...
i agree that you made the right decision regarding the wedding. it just wouldn't feel right without your brother and sister there.
your siblings are lucky to have both you and amy there to support them and you are lucky to have your amy there at a time like this.
i wish you all the best.
