I'm getting worried about this hurricane season for you all, if we're up to the "e's" and it's only Sept 1st. It's a long way until the end of Nov...

I've had my eye on that bitch! She's got to turn northward!

Thanks for the reminder of caribbean-on-line hurricane info, Anthony! I need to bookmark that... or could you put a link at the top with the FAQ, Memberlist, etc.?

Prayers coming your way for the safety of all on island...I've got the Hurricane Prayer that was published in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Sunday bulletin. Saying it for all! Be safe.

I think it might have changed Randy since you checked, here is the latest - darn thing might be tracking South a bit more now but still only showing 60 mph winds :)

I forgot to add another site that most people appear not to know about - you can click on an island and it moves the storm and gives possible wind speed etc.

It's not a "normal" storm. Neither was Omar last fall. The forecasters are having a tough time with it but the optimist in me says that although it could pass right over St. John, the winds will remain at 50 mph or less. That's still a bit of a blow and the rains could be formidable. Mudslides and flooding could be the real threat. With all the uncertainty we're all crossing our fingers and toes...
