finally going back! and a question

Post by eehman »

we are finally headed back to STJ in October- haven't seen our villa (ellison) in over a year- have missed the place so much and thanks to all who do trip reports that make me feel I am there. we are bringing friends that have not been and are planning to take a boat over to jost etc. normally we captain one ourselves or take a captain from ocean runners but may try to go on a charter. does anyone have any idea which ones are still going out. we used to take one out of the westin but not sure if that is still happening. THANKS.

If you used to go out on Ocean Runner, you probably know Cleve. He has his own boat/charter now and I've been out with him a couple of times and had a blast. Maybe you would like to try him??? He has a website (parts still under construction) www.localflavorcharters.com if you want to check it out. I've always been a fan of Ocean Runner and Cleve.

Check out Capt. John at Palm Tree Charters - I've always heard his guests raving about his trips.

We used flyaway charters out of coral bay and they were great. It was nice leaving out of coral bay, the parking was a breeze. We went to jost and then to willie t's and the indians.

finally going back question

Still haven't done the trip report. We were on St John in July for 10 wonderful days. Guilty about not having time for the trip report but will get to it as soon as I have the time to do it right. but I must say that our favorite day was sailing on the catamaran Radio flyer. We sailed around St John but he will take you to Jost for the day. Jason is the captain and he will take up to 6 people. He and his boat are absolutely wonderful. The number is 340-626-6712. I highly recommend it. Website can be found if you type Catamaran Radio Flyer St John. Any other questions, let me know.

We took a trip with Capt John with Palm Tree Charters in early July. Had a GREAT time! Note that this is not a group charter but is a trip just for you and up to 5 of your closest friends. If we were going to be there, I would volunteer to go with you, but it doesn't look like it is in the cards for the near future. :(
