Recent Trip to Mid-Coast Maine

Post by AnyTing »

If you have some time to kill and would like to read about Mid-Coast Maine...well...about eating in Mid-Coast Maine, because that's all I did:

If any of you are looking for a good fall destination for a short trip, I think this place would be AMAZING in October.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Only had time to look at the photos...and gee thanks, I just drooled onto my keyboard.
When we come to place where the sea and the sky collide
Throw me over the edge and let my spirit glide

I was waiting for this!

VickiH, you never, ever disappoint... your travel tales and photos are always superb. You seem to make even the most ordinary so special. Loved the food pics... loved the flowers... loved the boats! Thanks for sharing your special time... may you have many more happy special days.

Three things I know for sure...
1) Vicki H takes awesome pictures wherever she travels,
2) Vicki H visited Maine during the only sunny days this summer, and
3) I don't like girls who eat as much as Vicki H, yet look as good as Vicki H.

(I'm only partially serious about point #3. :P )

having grow up round there it sounds like you had a what we would call a wicked pissah time. but for the record: it's lobstah. not lobster--that's what the new yorkahs call those bugs.

You noticed that too! Our week in Maine was weather in the low 60's fog and rain. Typical Maine summer.
But we had fun anyway.

Great reports and pics. I think you've motivated me to finally make the trek to Bar Harbor.

Next time you're in Maine, if you want a really good lobster roll, head a little further south to Reds Eats in Wiscasset.

Really nice, Vicki. Of course I especially love all of the food photos.

I have not been up to Maine in a couple of years. Maybe this fall...
