Reasonable Villa - Dec 2009

Post by Ryn »

Looking at going to St John early Dec, 2009. It's my hubs 40th and friends 50th. There will definately be 2 couples going maybe more... Looking for a villa that can accomodate us (2 couples) and is around $2,500 for the week.

Must have's

Descent size pool
Shaded porch areas for fair skin people :)
A/C in bedrooms minimum
Sunset views
King size beds & 2 comparable bedrooms (masters)
Screened bedrooms to have windows open at night.

Nice to have

Hot tub

I have looked at Cloud 9 villa and it looks great, however I'm wondering if there are screens on any of the french doors that open to the deck? All suggestions are appreciated :)

Thanks

You may like Cielo Vista - I'm pretty sure it meets your criteria. No hot tub though.

Reef Madness is awesome, but you don't get sunset views of St. Thomas, but you do get to see it dip beneath the mountain, and that's pretty cool. Not sure if in December it meets your price, but it's probably close, and is an incredible villa.

Take a look at Second Wind. Great location in Reef Bay, 3 equal sized master bedrooms, all paved roads and driveway, pool , hot tub, shaded areas on deck. Great view. $2555 3-4 people off season.

Hi Ryn!
We stayed at Cloud 9 and I don't recall having screens on any of the doors. We kept them shut with the great room A/C running. (this was in August)
I would think by December you could open all the windows and doors and get a constant cool breeze without worrying about mosquitos.
Have fun!
I've got 2 tickets to paradise~Pack your bags we'll leave tonight!

Hi Ryn! First off, December is a GREAT time to get away from the Midwest - we are from Chicago and have had an opportunity to go in the winter... it was WONDERFUL! Have fun!!

If it turns out to be just the two couples, you should definitely check out Perelandra. There are two bedrooms that are equally nice. The pool is beautiful and does have both shade and sun. Both bedrooms have AC and, actually, one of our favorite parts of this villa is the sunset views... overlooks St Thomas and its fun to watch the sun fall and see the twinkling lights in the distance. Really - its breathtaking! I would check it out. http://www.vrbo.com/18786

Good luck and enjoy your vacation! What a great way to celebrate the birthdays!

Monkey No Climb on Bordeaux Mtn is a great villa for 2 couples at a good rate. I considered renting it for our anniversary but had to change our plans b/c of my husband's work. It is listed on www.villaluxe.com.
