Dear Miss Mermaid is a blogger and author from Tortola who was rushed to the hospital there over two weeks ago with an as yet undiagnosed illness. She is a friend and lover of the Virgin Islands and she needs help. I've corresponded with her a few times over weather topics as she contributes often to the Caribbean Hurricane Network at: http://www.stormcarib.com/reports/current/bvi.shtml

Just catching up here and am thankful that this was posted. I had no idea as I have been AWOL for awhile. We have followed this wonderful mermaid for some time now. Did purchase her book and will encourage others to do the same.
