No trip planned for 2010 :-(

I'm having a pity party for myself today. We don't have a trip planned for next year. We're in the middle of having our kitchen remodeled and it is costing a lot more than we budgeted for. It seems like one thing leads to another. New cabinets lead to new counter tops to a new diswasher, new stove, new refrigerator, new sinks, new floor, new light fixtures and new dining room light. We are even replacing the window over the sink. UGH !!!!! I swore when we started this project that I wouldn't do it half way but I didn't realize that doing it all the way would hurt so bad!

My only hope of a trip next year is to catch one of the last minute specials on a villa.

I feel your pain on remodeling. Been there, done that. And it is true...you touch one thing, then something else needs doing. It is endless!

Replace HVAC last year, shingles the year before and this year the zero turn lawn mower. The mower broke AFTER we had committed to cabinet maker for the kitchen remodeling. Hopefully next year we can have the hardwood floors refinished and hubby can put in replacement windows.

I think we need to move in an old folks home where everything is done for you!!
