Lavender Hill Feedback Requested

Post by lovindislands »

My husband and I are going back to St. John in May for our 3rd trip. We are staying at Bongo Bongo for 5 nights, but want to go down a couple of days earlier and stay somewhere a little less expensive and closer to town (walking distance). I read up on Lavender Hill Suites on the web & it sounds pretty good. I was wondering if anyone had personal feedback they could share with me regarding the place. Thanks! :lol:

Lavender Hill Suites

Post by Dan »

Hi!

I stay at Lavender Hill almost everytime I visit St John. It's a great place. Many nice units there also close to town, just walking distance down to the beach bar. The condos are clean and well kept. Beautiful location on Cruz Bay.
I'll be back in January and I'm already booked. I stayed there three trips last year.

My blog has some photos;

If you call Gary, let him know Dan Lorti recommends the place. Maybe he'll give you a break.

...nifty blog! Pics of Trunk Bay show up here all time, but I have not seen one like yours taken on February 22 before!!

I had been curious about Lavender Hill too; looks nice. Thanks for the insight.

Dan, I just looked at your blog and it is so nice. Loved all the pictures. Looks like we like to travel to the same places!!! Italy was amazing. I just looked into Lavender Hill for the end of August. Hopefully it will be available. Thanks for all the great info. Want to try some of the restaurants as well. Cheers!

I cannot recommend Lavender Hill enough... October will be my third stay there and i am booked again in October and February and my sister (who was with me for the first two trips) is booked there in August. The suites are very nice and comfortable, the views of cruz bay are amazing, the pool is nice and the proximity to town is second to none (well besides grande bay i guess so second to one :wink: ) Furthermore, the guys who operate them are very helpful and nice and will do anything to help make your stay as perfect as it should be!

If you have stayed in a 1 bedroom unit - which ones would you recommend? Looking for clean with good A/C...traveling with a child. Thanks for the input.

Both 1W and 2W can meet your needs. They both have wrap around decks. We loved 1W but the view in 2W is just a little better.

Wow - thanks for the great feedback guys! Dan, your blog is great & thanks for sharing the pics! Based on all the positive comments, I will roll forward and book a couple of nights at Lavender Hill in May 2010. It's so nice to have great people to bounce things off of about St. John & who seem to love it as much as we do! :lol:
