My wife took this photo back in 1996.Do you remember where this stood?When we visited back in June this building was long gone. :shock:

Yeah, it was an excellent place to sit and have a drink waiting for the inevitable walk of woe. I was sad to see it go. I like the dockside building, but wish they'd have kept the ground floor as a bar/restaurant. There's just not enough bars on St John! :wink:

Dockside Pub had really good hot turkey sandwiches and burgers. We miss them also.

Ooooh Ruth. The hot turkey sandwich was my favorite after a night of too many dark and diets. Those ladies would always make me one at 8 am, they just knew when you needed one.

The Dockside was THE place to get that last drink for the road (ferry). Loved (and miss) the ambience...

I loved the new St. John Spice (admit I never ventured into the old St. John Spice); but I do miss the breakfast sandwiches while waiting to catch the ferry for a St. Thomas shopping excursion.
