Hurricanes don't scare us none.

Post by cptnkirk »

Well actually they do but my honey just pushed the bookit button for the second week of Sept. Yee Ha can't wait to have the beaches to ourselves. I will be doing some praying to the weather Gods for no hurricanes, so far they have been good to us.

c.k.

the lord looks out for fools and children. bride's and my 1st trip to stj was second week oct 04 was made without a thoughy for hurricanes. weather so great we brought the kids & grank's same week the next year and no h's but rained like monsoons for 3 days.

we're even working on a last minute trip late july to late august but will be able to bail out if weather starts looking bad in the east atlantic. i bet if you checked on number of h's that hit stj during 2nd week of sept during past 50 years, you'd find odds about same as bad car wreck, neither fun, but both survivalable.

no such thing as plannin wrong trip to stj, some just turn out less fun than others.

Congrats on pushing the "bookit button"! (Is this your 3rd trip this year or what?)
We always go the first of Oct. and love the quiet beaches, warm water and great parking in town. No weather issues yet!
Where are you staying? I am narrowing down my choices but haven't committed just yet ~~~~

Happy travels, again & again & again. . .
I've got 2 tickets to paradise~Pack your bags we'll leave tonight!

Capt Kirk - All of the Virgin Islanders will welcome any additional prayers to the H***cane Gods - We even have a holiday here called Hurricane Supplication Day when we all gather and ask to be spared each year.

E Z

floridians should take your lead on special h service. granted they have a larger land mass but they have alot more major hurricanes than vis.
