Hi Bill. I enjoyed reading your trip reports. It looks like a great place. My husband and I will be headed to St John on the 9th of June for the 6th year. We went for our honeymoon (year 0) and keep going back. We just can't bring ourselves to go anywhere else because St. John is so perfect. This year we're staying here http://www.andantebythesea.com. I haven't seen anyone on the forum talk about it but it looks nice.

Oh Bill, someone with a count down longer than mine :) We will be leaving the island on 12/2. We will leave you at least one bottle of rum!
Sounds like another special trip for you. Nice!

Hi there. Glad you enjoy my reports, as I enjoy all of the other folks who are family here. Your villa looks great and we have stayed near there. I think we need to form a local northern Va forum club like some of the other parts of the US of A have. I'm 25 to 30 minutes from u near Warrenton. We have RickG in McLean and Flipflop in Fairfax and villa owners right down the road from me. Frank Barnako of News of St John blog lives in Great Falls and the owners of Bongo Bongo, Jeff and Russ live in DC. Jeff is on the radio WTOP by the way every day.Lots of other St. John visitors near by as well I bet. No reason why we can't have a get together sometime or just have lunch/dinner /meet at a local winery deal. Your thoughts....God bless...Bill

Hey Bill, which room is ours?? :P We haven't finalized December yet, still wrapping up May. But we'll plan on the 11th!

Hey, now don't forget about us "Southern" Virginians down here in the swamp! We don't have the nice roads that you folks up there in the North got, but we have plenty of hospitality down this way!!

Bill, I noticed all the folks from the area on this forum. The place we stayed for our honeymoon is owned by Donna and Frank Barnako. She owned a knitting shop in McLean where I used to go. That's how I heard about St. John. I found out about this forum from the Bongo Bongo blog. And every year when we're down there, we think we'll meet folks from all around but whenever we talk to people, they are typically from somewhere right down the road. :)

My wife and I will be in St. John June 13-17 for our anniversary. This will be our second trip to St. John and we will be staying at Estate Lindholm. Nice to see that a fellow Virginian will be on island also. God bless.

Hmmm...maybe we can hit St. John twice this year and return in December. It's absolutely on the table! We'll see what this year brings us.

Our love to you and Sandie

Bill, sounds like a good time! I like early December. December 11, 1991 is my daughter Elizabeth's birthday. I'll raise a toast for both of them that day.

Seriously, we have a quorum in Virginia. It may be time for a forum party... Did I mention that I make beer?

Cheers, RickG

Hey Bill,

I'm working on our Dec. trip right now. We're looking at Dec. 10th to the 19th, on a 45ft monohull. We missed each other last December, maybe we'll catch up this year.
