I think we all need...

Post by Lulu76 »

... to have a nice, stiff drink.

Just in case folks aren't sure what to drink, post your favorite rum drink recipe here. Then, go mix one up, relax and try to go to your happy place.

There is NO need to be grumpy when we're discussing the most fabulous place in the world. So, if you're grumpy, I suggest rum. Lots of it.

Unless you're an angry drunk.

With that:

Cruzan Voodoo Juice
Ingredients
1 oz Orange rum (Cruzan)
1 oz Banana rum (Cruzan)
1 oz Coconut rum (Cruzan)
1 oz Pineapple rum (Cruzan)
1 1/2 oz Cranberry juice
1 1/2 oz Orange juice
1 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
1/2 oz Dark rum (Cruzan)

Mixing Instruction
Pour over ice in a hurricane class. Float dark rum on top and serve.

Ooohh, LOVE that Ting, so glad Plaza Extra stocks it. As an alternate to mbw's good recipe:

Ting, Cruzan Light, Cruzan Citrus, lots of fresh lime.

I plan to try some pineapple juice with coconut rum. I saw it somewhere and it just sounds awesome. No clue what it is called.

Boo turned me on to a great drink one night at the Quiet Mon - it takes just like Frank's Black Cherry soda (may be a reginal thing)...it's Cruzan Black Cherry rum, soda and sprite or 7UP. Proportions unknown...but for me it's fill the glass with ice, add lots of rum and a splash each of soda, yum!

My mouth is watering - I'm at work and can't drink yet :(

Thanks for the link, Mary Beth - they even have one for the dogs. Snow would look so cool sporting a Ting shirt at the block party - lol.

BTW, for soda fountain nostalgia, Cruzan Vanilla and root beer is a good one - tastes like a black cow.

if you are looking for it in Starfish go back toward the diary wall and when you get there turn around. It's on the end of one of the aisles back there.
