Calling Any and All Locals!!

Post by CariBert »

In order to make a good one of these:

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Yy ... site"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_255pkid3BhE/SJJUa ... 1.JPG"></a>

(A Mojito) I am in need of fresh mint. All of my other sources say there is no fresh mint on St. John. Ruth, Pia, Jeff, Exit Zero....anybody.....can you tell me where to get some fresh mint? STT, maybe?

Thanks for any input, in adviance!

Check Josephine's in Coral Bay Garden Center with herbs in the grocery store produce sections. Another potential source is bushman93 on tripadvisor - mmiller@hughes.net, 340-473-8562. He's in Fish Bay.

Josaphines maybe ?? - I've never needed any so I'll find out.

I'll look later today at Starfish (they stock her greens and herbs) and next time I'm there - might be this weekend and I'll ask her.

I do have a friend who is growing some - not sure if he will have any to spare - I'll ask him - when do you need it.

GREAT question. We want to make mojitos as well...Joes Rum Hut does a GREAT job too...so...if mint leaves aren't available thats always an option... :D

Ya'll beat me to the Josephines suggestion... but of course you could ask Joes Rum Hut where they get theirs from... they make a mean mojito and they have to get their stash from somewhere... mint stash that is.... 8)

Why not bring it along with you? Won't take up much room and should last a couple of days while you hunt for a local stash.

check it. would help the undees smell better. also while i'm not into organic (bride's a smoker so why bother), doesn't some of their stuff have little labels that you pay extra for and if so, the carryon!

Undies? Well, I guess I could take some this time....dunno, tho....speaking about labels, I used to switch the cuban cigar labels for Jamaican ones....

Guess I'll just try to get some on Ilon, mon....there were a couple of good suggestions up above....

Thanks all,

OK, they have Josaphines mint at Starfish so I imagine she has it as well at a cheaper price and they also had it (but not Josaphiones so it was shipped in) at the new grocery store by the Westin for $2.45 for the little platic container :)

Fresh Mint for you drinks.

Post by bushman1 »

A little late with this, but I do currently have and grow fresh mint(no chemicals/no pesticides) for your Mojitos. I can cut it straight from the garden for you. I can be reached at 340-473-8562 :D
