First, how was your marinade??? Were you able to doctor it enough to be palatable??
We stayed at Easy Breezes this year. It was beautiful and the views were exceptional but at $5600 for two weeks we couldn't afford that next year. I started chatting with Chris Boyd, the owner of Villa Madeline and Siempre Azul in Coral Bay. He always got right back to me. He lives on St. John. I asked him how much of a deposit he wanted (thinking 50%) and he told me to send him $250 and then then the other $1500 in October. I thought that was extremely generous..
So we're going with Villa Maddy (as he calls it) because it has a pool and hot tub. It's a new two-bedroom in Coral Bay. We won't have the views we had last year but it will be $2100 less for two weeks!!
My niece just had a baby and her name is Madelyn and we call her Maddy so I think this was meant to be!! :D

Boast away Bevm you lucky gal.
We almost stayed at Villa Madeline our last trip but Chris could not accomodate us for one night. He definetly is responsve, it will be on our short list for the next trip.
I really hope someday we meet you guys on Island. Pretty sure it would be rather entertaining, don't think we would scare you guys at all

Hey Margo, you have 5729 posts!! You're the one with no life!!
Mine is just a mild addiction...
Kirk, Chris is great...I've never dealt with someone as easy as he is..He's also getting internet at the end of the week so Crash will be happy! I just want to sit my fat ass in that swing with a cocktail and not a care in the world!! You can't scare me!! If you like to party and have fun (and I think you do!) then we'd be a good mix!
Marcia, maybe next year we'll meet.... :D
Hey Marg, if things go well for you we always have that second bedroom with your name on it!!

I just checked airfares and they are not all that bad right now for our travel dates but, we really want to avoid the connection in Philly. It's always our bete noir. Dreaming here...a direct flight from Chicago would rock. Especially if it left at 6 am and got us there by 12:30. Leaving STT at say, 3:00 and getting in at 9:00? Ahhhhhh. A girl can dream.

Marcia,
We leave EWR (Newark) at 9:10 and get in to STT at 1:31...I just know the cost is going to go up because oil prices and gas prices are going up so I thought I'd take a leap of faith and book it...
We leave on 4/29 at 2:30 and get in at 6:51...

Good job Bev - By the time next year rolls around I should have about that many with all my questions. I guess I should get a life too or at least a job.
