First, welcome to the forum :)

Arc du Soleil is a beautiful villa but does not have a/c - they have the hook ups in the bedroom but have not added it as of yet (unless they have done so since I last talked to them so do confirm)

We just stayed at Perelandra. It is a very nice villa - very well maintained and clean. It is very close to Cruz Bay with an easy driveway. It does have a/c in the bedrooms but it was still pretty warm in the villa. The villa is for sale and there was a showing during our stay. Feel free to pm me if you have specific questions.

In April, we stayed at Waterklip. It fits your budget, as well as the rest of your requirements. The view is great, it is very private, has a/c in the bedrooms, and is close to Cruz Bay. We loved it and would stay there again. The pictures don't do it justice.

So many nice houses on St. John to choose from now a days. You might look at Monkey No Climb for views, nature, price and end of the road quiet.

Hi Pia - Have you heard if the owners added AC to Arc du Soleil?

Thanks.

we stayed at seawatch a few years ago. Amazing view. It is a littled dated. The kitchen was older and was very open to the elements. It was pretty close to cruz bay... 7 minute car ride. We had good breezes so I never felt like the main part of the villa was too hot. AC in bedrooms. Oh and the pool was a little shaded at times so the water was not super warm. We stayed there in 2006 I believe so it may have been updated since. It was our first villa rental and we were pleased.

We stayed at Orion's for 2 weeks in July 08. It is a beautiful house with commanding views and awesome breezes. We never used the a/c. Ionized pool and 2 separate floors with bedroom, huge living rooms on both levels. There are photos on the forum of our stay.
