Military Recruiter

Post by soxfan22 »

This story has been barely covered in the media (NOT surprising). A young soldier was shot and killed while doing some recruiting in Little Rock. The man who shot and killed this soldier is a muslim convert who, according to police, has exhibited both political and religious motivations for the attack on the recruiting center.

And this young soldier's Commander in Chief has offered no public condemnation of the act, nor any public condolences to the family of the slain soldier.

The murderer is facing 15 counts of terrorism.

my hubby and i have been following the total lack of coverage of this incident as well. all the articles are meer blips on the news, if at all, and no one seems to want to bring attention to it.

last night, finally heard that the shooter has been investigated by the fbi so seems as if this is a big f-up on their part- not taking the shooter down before he went berserko- so no one wants to talk about it.

sad.

Good grief.

But have a soldier kill some one in a combat zone that they second guess and it is all over the news

We are now one of the world's largest Muslim nations...However, we are no longer a Christian nation according to The One. Please BHO, keep talking.

Evan Thomas, Editor of Newsweek, called Obama "sort of God" on the Chris Matthews show...Nope, not in the tank at all...

Oh, and his other point was that Reagan was "parochial" and only thought about America. Damn trhat Reagan. How dare he...

It's not surprising coming from Evan Thomas. He comes from a long line of socialists. MSNBC lost credibility as a news source long ago.

Yeah, I had read that after hearing this clip, Verjoy...I think his Dad was a known socialist?

You know, I just don't get the MSNBC thing...I mean, can you throw up at least a token conservative other than Pat Buchanan once in awhile? Say what you will about Fox with Hannity and O'Reilly, but at least they don't completely stack the deck!

And I would argue that it's not just MSNBC that has lost credibility, it's the entire NBC news department - really since the unfortunate passing of a GREAT newsman (and admittedely liberal), Tim Russert. The man certainly leaned to the left, but at least he could usually be counted on to ask a tough question! Not even a tough question, I'd settle for the question that needs to be asked once in awhile!

Haven't seen you around in a bit Verjoy - hope you are well!

Norman Thomas (Evan's grandfather) was a perennial candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket.

I spend quite a bit of time on Facebook lately. We also got a yorkie puppy, Lucy. I have tried to post photos of her on here off of FB, but couldn't get it to work. She is very cute, but she has very sharp little puppy teeth!

We're doing fine for OTs. My husband had been ill for about six months. Tests found several serious conditions while trying to diagnose the original problem, but it turned out that apparently he was having a reaction to some blood pressure medication he had been on for about 10 years. He now has a heart stent and is feeling well in spite of a poorly functioning gall bladder. The surgeon says it can wait as long as he's feeling good.
