Great picture, Mary Beth! Allie is beautiful. She looks like an Egyptian princess in the hot tub shot!

Love the photos of Ruth getting her birthday loot! Fun!

The whole "picture = a thousand words" thing is working here. Thanks for posting them. They are great.

Do you have one of Ruth actually wearing the hat? Or, are you sworn not to post it?

I was looking at your picture of the Tourist Trap, and for just a moment I was THERE! Thank you.

Marybeth,

We just got home, literally. I was hoping to meet you on the island but our paths never crossed. What a great week it was. Guess I need to get a trip report together. You set a high standard! Stopped by Rith's this morning to say goodbye (and pick up some Cruz Bay Grill Rub) and she showed me the book and told me about the chicken hat. That was really special.

Your niece does "get it", what a beauty. I, too, loved the picture of Charlie and yourself. Maho Mary is alot of fun at the tourist trap - we had a great afternoon with her. I have cash?

I was just advised by the head Chicken and the VIOL Rules Committee that whomever is celebrating a birthday on island must wear the chicken hat for the day and appear on the STJ Spice cam.

That sounds quite reasonable to me.

My word that chicken hat is funny!

Note to self: Don't plan any more birthdays on the island!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
