here we go again.

Day 5 Thursday

Today we decided to head to Solomon and honeymoon. We parked at Caneel and started the walk to Solomon. We had two chairs( that strapped to your back like a backpack), a small soft sided cooler and our snorkel stuff. We walked right past honeymoon and just thought it was part of caneel. Ok we were a little confused on the trail all the signs were down so we could not tell what way the arrows were pointing. I was very hot and we were getting kind of sweaty so we headed down a path and poof, we were at solomon. Yeah!!! The sun was shining, the water was beautiful we set up camp by one of the small palm trees. After a short time the clouds thickened and it started raining. So we just put on our gear and headed in the water. I was sure it would pass before we got out of the water. Wrong. By now everyone who had been there left. So we had the beach to ourselves. We came out of the water huddled under the trees and ate the lunch we packed. IT was still raining but pretty light. We stayed for a while longer and the sun started to shine again so we packed up and made the treck to honeymoon. It was hot and sun during the walk there. Once we got set up on that beach the clouds rolled back in and it started raining again. This time it did not last long and stayed nice the rest of the time we were there. We wrote in the sand and took pictures of it. Hung out in the water then back up on the beach, it was a nice day. We did not have watch with us so we had no idea what time it was. We decided to head back to the Jeep, and were happy it was not soaked with the rain we got. It seems amazing to me how the jeep stays so dry with no windows. We headed back on Northshore road and stopped at peace hill and walked up to the top. Nice view from there. It still sprinkeled a little on and off but it was all good. By now it was around 5pm so we headed back to the villa ate left over pizza from the night before and crashed.

Day 6 Friday

Woke up to a beautiful morning. We had a big day planned today. First stop was trunk. We got there around 8:30 took our photos before it got too crowded and then went snorkeling. We had been to trunk several times before on cruise stops and it never looses it appeal. There is something about the sand at trunk it just seems finer than anywhere else. Maybe its just me. Anyway we packed a lunch today as well and ate that around noon and then headed to Anneberg. We toured the ruins quickly, it was very hot, and then headed on the trail to waterlemon cay. The walk to waterlemon was really nice. This was some of the best snorkeling we had in st john. We saw a really large stingray as soon as we got in the water. While my husband was taking a picture of a star fish I saw a small shark. It was gone before he could see it. We stopped up on the beach on the cay for a little while and I was tempted to take another spin aroung the cay, but we need to get going because we has reservations at Zozo's that night. We made it back to the villa got cleaned up and headed into cruz bay. Made to Zozo's right on time and got a table by the rail. It was a wonderful meal and night. I had the mahi and husband had the shrimp, we also split a lobster tail. Needless to say we were stuffed. We waddled out of there and had planned on going to some of the bars in cruz bay, but we were too full and just went back to the villa.
