Chocolate Hole construction

Post by jhillss »

I noticed on the Caribbean Villas & Resorts website that construction is going on right now in the Chocolate Hole area. On their website they list Kabej Patch Villa at 20% off due to Chocolate Hole construction. We are scheduled to stay at Island Time Villa in the Devers Bay area and are wondering if we will be affected by this construction? When you look at a map it appears that Chocolate Hole and Devers Bay are close to each other. I am a St. John rookie and wanted some advive of this subject from some of the vetrans. Thanks in advance for you advice on this subject

If you're talking about Pond Bay construction, it will not bother you at all at Island Time. We were there in March, we drove past the construction and never heard a thing. You don't see it and you don't hear it once at the house. DON'T WORRY!!!

I am sure that the construction they are referring to on the Kabej Patch site is the Pond Bay project in Chocolate Hole. I checked the site for Kabej Patch and the issue is that the view from that villa directly overlooks the construction site. If you see that nice green land area just after the water (well, salt pond) view closest to the house--that spit of land is where they are building Pond Bay.

I do not believe that this will disrupt your stay on Devers at all. You are correct that Devers is to the direct left of Chocolate Hole, but the Pond Bay project is set far back and there is a hill (that's probably not the best way to describe it) between the two bays. I also believe that Pond Bay is past the really noisy part of construction.

Hope that helps. :D
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Trust me, I stayed in Island Time and if you didn't have to drive past the construction site you'd never know it was there. You can't see it and you can't hear it from the house. The only construction we heard was work on a house across the street and that wasn't bad at all. Don't worry and have a great time.
