Happiness Day 4 - Villa Gravity and Zozos
Happiness Day 4 - Villa Gravity and Zozos
After an exhausting couple of days, we opted for a Villa Day today. Good choice! Sleeping in a bit, floating in the pool with the Ipod playing, blender drinks, hot tub, naps, reading, laughing. It was all good.

Tonight is our Zozo’s dinner, so we all gussy up a bit – island style.

I absolutely love Zozos. In the interest of full disclosure, John the owner is a good friend of my brother’s, but I would the love the restaurant even if we didn’t know him. We had drinks in the upstairs bar, where there wasn’t a great sunset, but still a nice view.

John graciously sent over a few antipasto plates – mozzarella, red peppers, salami, cappicola, artichoke hearts, olives – all just delicious!!
FOOD PORN ALERT. It was all I could do to stop people from digging in, but I got pictures of some of the entrees.
Here’s the Osso Buco

I had the Veal Porterhouse special – one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten!!

Here’s the shrimp dish.

The Rib Eye

And the Mahi Mahi.

We were honestly too full for dessert, but did order a Tiramisu and the dessert special. It was a white chocolate amaretto raspberry mousse concoction that was pure ambrosia!!! As always, we had an absolutely fabulous time at Zozo’s, with fantastic food in a wonderful room with very attentive service. Happy happy joy.

On the way into town was saw that, horror of horrors, Woody’s was closed.
What’s a gang to do? Why, the Beach Bar of course. The guys watched the Celtics, folks walked on the beach to digest our fabulous dinner – good times all around. Now the Xisland Fog – we stopped in at the Crazy Cracker and danced a bit, but I can’t really give you much of an update on that.
Home to the hot tub, star gazing, bed.

Paula I absolutely agree with you on ZoZo's it is our favorite restaurant on the Island. I have enjoyed your daily reports. I notice you are from N.H. We are from Barrington and love the summers but certainly would rather be on the Island for the winters. We travel to STJ for Halloween week. This year will be our third trip with a couple of newbies certainly looking forward to it. Your group looks like alot of fun. Thanks for the pictures they are a great "fix"
until we arrive.

Nice reports - thanks for posting. We leave this Sunday and I should be packing instead of reading trip reports.
I am so glad you included pics of your group on the way to Zozo's. I always thought you had to really dress up for Zozos (as in long pants and collared shirt for my hubby). So we've never tried it since my hubby doesn't take long pants on vacation to the islands. Looks like he can go in shorts, so we will definitely try it this year. The food looks wonderful.
