New favorite iPhone thingy...

Post by Gromit »

So I wanted to get some portable speakers for my iPhone to take with me to STJ. Something so I could listen to tunes around the house or in the bedroom (bedroom mostly since I don't want to subject my other housemates to my musical tastes).

Anyway, after much searching I purchased these:

http://www.ihomeaudio.com/products.asp? ... pt_id=1007

They are magnetic on the bottom and stick together. They come with their own little carry bag. And they pump out some KILLER sound for these tiny little speakers. I tested them out at work and I couldn't even get the volume up half way without getting fired.

WOW!!

Anyway, I think they are cute as a button and they are cheaper on Amazon. I'll let you know how they hold up on STJ!

Love them!

End transmission.... Carry on...

Interesting! My traveling companions and I were just discussing speakers for an iPod for our upcoming trip. I own some older speaker cubes, but I now use my iPod Touch, and I think that the speakers that I own are not compatible.

But, I'm guessing these groovy little things would work with the Touch, as it's just an iPhone without the steroids.

I must research... Thanks Gromit!

I have these from sony & they are awesome.
I just used them in the south pacific & Australia.

Like you want to do Grommit they are great to listen to music in your room or while getting ready.

I picked mine up at Target in the states.
I think they were about $20.00

Just another option.

Play the ipod on the stereo. The outdoor (and indoor) speakers at Sol Inclination go up to 11. We had Kassav and Buffet blasting...

Cool gadget - Mrs Random will want one. Thanks a lot!

As a Sirius/XM superfan, I am steamed today to hear that iphone has a new app that allows you to stream Sirius.
I finally hopped on the smartphone bandwagon, with a Blackberry
You lucky iphone people. How much would it cost to get an iphone and full time browsing?

The "basic" iPhone for that price actually is the new 16GB 3Gs. Pretty sweet.

That's technology for you. I remember back in the day that my parents paid $100 for a Texas Instruments calculator. Now, they give that crap away.

My new favorite iPhone 'thingie' (I said thingie since it's not an app) Is my new 32GB iPhone 3GS!!

Lightspeed processor when compared to to my 'old' 3G, and my entire Zappa catalog fits on it and I still have 14GB to spare!

Anyone wanna buy an unlocked (use on any cell network) 3G??? (just kidding...i'm giving it to my mom)

Ohhh MrB so nice to hear from you!! I just got approval today to upgrade mine with the new 3GS. I called AT&T and they told me I had to pre-order it. 7-10 days from now, I'll be as cool as you...OK maybe not, but we'll have the same phone

Hey M

congrats on the phone. You'll be amazed how much faster it is. The 3G speed is the same (AT&T and all) but the phone itself is very quick. I notice it the most in mail, but that is what I use the most. It also turns on in like 1/3 the time if you ever turn it off.

Still waiting for the jailbreak for this one!!!
