Spring out my window

Post by Jo Ann - VA »

Here is a picture out my living room window. Spring is finally here!
This is for you Ruth, I know you miss spring in the US.
What's outside your window?

This is outside of my home office window. It was the first thing I planted 7 years ago when we moved in and its TAKEN forever to get blooms.

Blurry ... sorry

Ladies,
I do love your Virginia blossoms...
pink dogwood is so pretty, alone or in groups
lilac is my favorite...love the fragrance...pic not blurry but slightly impressionistic
Thanks for reminding me why I miss the Virginias at times. Enjoy the beauty.
... no longer a stranger to paradise

Ruth, Joshie, and the others on island are always so kind to give us photos of what we don't get to see every day. Finally, a chance for us to repay the favor. A few shots of spring from last week. It may not be as spectacular as the beautiful colors of the Caribbean Sea, but it's not bad:

I took these just last week for my sister who lives in a colder climate and needed to see some spring!

Here's one I just snapped in the back yard. Not a springy flower blossom, but some backlit river birch bark.

Stop judging me ;-) No ... I still can't figure out why its 1/2 blurry and 1/2 normal, except to say I meant to do it. Its impressionistic as someone said.

These are all so beautiful! I actually brought my camera today hoping to take some pictures of the flowering trees in the Back Bay on my way to the train after work, but it is pouring rain.

Speaking of spring, I have a family of bunnies living in my yard. They are so cute! I don't mind that they are eating all of my grass. And all of my tulips, and my daffodils...

That was some kind of tiny wildflower. Not sure what.

I pass this field on my way to work. This picture was taken last year, unfortunately there's hardly any mustard there this year. Odd...how many seeds do you think these flowers left behind?? Dry old California! Give us a little rain and the field will look like this again!

Margo...I remember you posting that last year!

Can't believe it's not there this year.

Maybe it will rain while you are away and it will blossom later!!!

Have a GREAT trip, soon come!
