We're taking the direct flight from EWR to St. Thomas in April. We return through SJU and really like that airport. That airfare quote is a STEAL! Grab it!

On the way there SJU is fine, on the return its a whole different animal. Think screaming kids running around and you should get a good idea. Its tolerable, but certainly not fun!

Pipergal...welcome!

If you are flying Continental, thats the same flight we took except our direct flight was on the way down and thru San Juan on the way back.

AND!

That price can't be beat! We paid almost $1100 R/T for 2 in late Nov w/ return in Dec. I think we bought those tickets last May/June? and had no idea what would happen w/ fares at that time so just bit the bullet and bought at that horrible price.

It was delightful flying directly from Newark to STT!!! I remember all that being ontime. The return trip to SJU, we were placed on an earlier flight than planned, and it was quite exciting to me as I hadn't flown on such a small plane before. There were 6 passengers plus the pilot. The woman infront of me was from PR and told me what all the islands were as we approached...Vieques, Culebra. We then had a longer wait in the SJU airport, but we spent that time opening a new bar, and next thing we knew we were back on the big plane up to Newark.

So by our experiences, all went well!

I hope you enjoy the small plane ride from SJU to STT!!!

View along the way...Culebra I believe:

I need those prices for October! Checking everyday and still not low enough for me! I have faith! I don't mind flying out of Philly too but they are always more to USVI...other places have been cheaper from PHL but not STT (and there are no direct flights, I think)

Thanks for asking Agent!

It's my big toe and that happened on the 2nd day of a 10 day trip on our way down to Salt Pond.

The "road" was especially washed-out and a rock just tripped me. I fell in what felt like slow motion and hurt nothing else except that stupid toe!

I was wearing my Keen flip-flops, which I feel certainly prevented me from tearing it apart or worse yet breaking it, but it turned 10 shades of purple and swelled up like it is in the pix!

It hurt but I didn't let it keep me from enjoying the trip...a generous RUM supplement also helped.

Wish I had a better "story" but thats it!

HA...yep the power of RUM!

It cured what did ail me and then some!...

That ugly little injury was NOT going to interfere w/ a St John trip!

Thanks for the photo compliment!

Booked Newark to STT non-stop Continental and non-stop return on Continental for $225 (+ tax and fees = $277)June 3-10th. CANNOT believe that air price, so just had to book for our anniversary.

wow!! $277. is fabulous!
I just spent an hour at Continental's website, plugging in Fall dates.
I found that if you fly Monday-Monday, most often you'll get the cheapest fares.
