ok....so how "LOUD" is carnival......

ok.....so NOW....we have found a fun, close place in Cruz Bay...but I worry (and have been warned about) the noise of Carnival.....

so.....forumites...tell me.....I don't worry about me as much as my kids....if they sleep in a room with A/C.....on or near Battery Hill...will they be able to sleep during the night?

so...should we stay in Battery Hill area or totally avoid it? How noisy is it?

be honest......we are totally on the fence?

I personally would not want to try it, even with the air conditioning and shutting up tight. There are subwoofers that literally vibrate the walls of masonry buildings--it's more than just noise, it's visceral assault, in my book.

Its a huge party the entire week during the 4th of July...so, if you're worried about noise that would not be my first choice...We've been there during Carnival and will be again this year...its a ton of fun...lots of things for kids to do...our 7 year old had so much fun when we were there in 2007...but we stay in Rendezvous Bay...far away from town...
