Today was a great weather day. The sun is shining and that’s about all it takes to make or break a good beach day. But first, I have to check if anyone found my license. First stop, police department. Uh, of coarse, I’m not driving without my license or anything, just wondering if it showed up there?? Hmm. Next stop, connections, then post office, then national park office. Okay, I give up. Off to the beaches. First stop caneel. Ahhhh..

I took a gander around their property. Didn’t swim at their other beaches, of coarse, that would be breaking their rules. (note:read past trip reports).

They have new massage cabanas at the Hawksnest location. I think this is a much better idea than having them stuck by the tennis courts. I also took a look at my all time favorite beach, Turtle. The waves were very active from the north swell.

Went back to Caneel’s main beach for lunch and some lounging.

Well, with the sun out and all, it’s time to go to another beach. With most northshore beaches out of the question, and not wanting to drive back to the east end or south shore beaches, and Maho is crowded, off to Francis. Still pretty crowded, but lovely…

After a great day at francis, I headed back up the northshore and picked up a new fun friend hiking along the road, who in fact, had three previous rides offered to her, but for some reason she chose me! Ha! We ripped roared laughter all the way to cruz bay. We hung out for a few hours and hung at the BB. She eventually went on with another group, as I was tired. I didn’t go out for a fancy dinner tonite. I went back, watched a movie and crashed. This was a great day. A really great day.
