I guess anyone driving up Centerline Road at some point would be heading for the stand. Not sure it really means anything other than being a point of reference.

Even though I was sad to hear that someone was killed I'm frankly glad to see that the STJ police returned fire when they were fired upon. If there are consequences for the criminals maybe they will hestiate before they break and enter. Some islands have such high crime rates that I won't consider visiting. I'm probably going to be blasted for my comments but that's how I feel.
For those who care, Constructive possesion means that you have/had the power to control something but the something is not in your direct control. IE. Suspect runs from a vehicle and is later apprehended. A search of his car reveals a firearm under the drivers seat. He is the operator of the vehicle and thus had constructive control/possesion of the weapon. It's kind of like , you did not HAVE possesion right then and there however a case can be made/constructed that you did have possesion at a specified time. Hope this helps. Same holds true for anything ie. dope, stolen property and so on.
THanks for the info! I went to the police reports area of St John Tradewinds and saw that it looked like those guys had been pretty busy in the area! I wish the police reports here were as tame!
Thanks bobcside! Does the "csi" in you screen name stand for "crime scene investigation"? I never heard the term "constructive possession" EVER! Maybe I'm not watching enough of Cops!
Your welcome and Cal. Girl the c stands for sea. Good thought though and the term, constructive possesion is fairly common in a "real" arena such as the one in which it was used by the VI Cops.
I really don't get $25,000 bail for an illegal alien armed robber who was in a car that open fired on police. Whether or not he fired at the police he should be held without bail until trial.
