question for Liamsaunt
Hi, I saw your post about the J-41 Aquarius shoes and went in search of them on the internet. I found them for $39.99 but they only have them in 1/2 size smaller and 1 size larger than I usually wear.
I know you said they ran true to size, but would you give it a shot for such a great price? If so, smaller or larger?
I have another pair of J-41's that I have worn all winter and they seem to have cured a foot problem that I had for over a year. So I know these are great shoes and would love to have another pair but the economy makes $99 a little out of my reach.
Thanks for your input!

Question about the mesh on those shoes. I bought a pair of Ahnu shoes that were very expensive and the mesh has a rubber or chemical like smell that seems to be getting worse over time. (It is not a dirty shoe smell
) It is to the point if I wear them indoors I can smell it!!!
How is the mesh doing on yours? I didn't read your inital post but I am assuming you are getting these wet?
I think they are cute and would like to order, but don't like that smell at all.

I got my Athleta shoes in yesterday, and although I have not gotten them wet yet, I can tell you they are beyond comfy and they don't look at all like Jesus shoes. (No offence to Jesus) I'm thinking of getting a pair for my daughter who is going to Greece in 2 weeks.
Oh yeah, the rest of my order is amazing, so it looks like a few more AA miles for me.
So thank you Liamsaunt, for the great idea. My daughter wants some more of those "board" shorts. I used mine for jammie bottoms last night. Love them.

No chemical smell! I hate that smell also, I know exactly what you mean. Just so you know, in the spirit of scientific inquiry, I stuck my j-41 shoe-clad foot in John's face before answering this post, and he reports that there is no smell whatsoever. You know how some shoes start to smell like, well, feet? Not these ones, and they've been in the ocean, the shower, hiking, etc. My previous favorite shoes were a pair of Merrill hiking sandals, but they suffered from stinky foot syndrome--I think because the footbed was plastic. Those Merrills "mysteriously" fell apart recently. I think John sabotaged them.djmom wrote:Liamsaunt-

I told you cypressgirl...one of everything!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
