If You Could.........

Post by greyhoundmom »

Have a business on STJ what would it be? With the economy, high turnover of restaurants, real estate, what it your dream? Last summer we rented from a guy who owns a brake shop - he says there's always a need for brakes on STJ and looking at his rental, I'd say he's doing really well! S/O always says he'd chuck it all for a hotdog stand on STJ - nice dream but don't think it'll fly!

that's a loaded question. for me STJ is an escape--i am not sure i would like real life to interfere with my escape!
but if i had to figure out a business, chicken wrangler!

(but i would really want to run a b and b--always have.... but .....)
< leaving on the 22nd of march...but too lame to figure out the ticker thing again!>

Bevm, I'm feeling motoring the cocktails and tiki hut over everyday by dinghy, setting it up and taking it down around 7:00 pm!

Loria, I'm thinking wrangle up all those chickens and adopt them out to the kids on the beach for a day. For a small price, of course! Think their parents would indulge this small entreprenurship??? :)

I think I would open a very small Rita's at Francis or Maho Bay. Or a Krispy Kreme in Coral Bay.

Mmmm, yummy!

A parking lot.....oh yeah, Slimman already did that.

I guess no one would pay me to get rid of the abandoned junk cars, overflowing dumpsters, and matresses and assorted crap left next to them. I guess it's part of the charm of STJ. :?

Ruth, I know you have a good reason to not like the chickens, but I think they are so cute. I love all the STJ wildlife....except scorpions.

Take people out on snorkeling excursions on my boat. Could do what I love and get paid for it. I allready have good name recognition. How can ya forget cptnkirk for a name of the captain of a boat  If I make enough friends from the board would have built in clientel, give a forum discount of course.

I always thought that someone could make a fortune opening a recycling center. It still confounds me that a place like STJ doesn't recycle. I did hear that some recycling bins have been place around the island recently.
