I fell in love with St John
Hello from cold and SNOWY Maine!
I just wanted to say that I feel like I know you all personally as I think I read your posts over and over prior to my trip to St. Thomas. We took the ferry on 2 seperate days to St John and I am now planning a trip there next January! Absolutly loved the island and the laid back feeling. I would probably not return to St Thomas, but we were visiting a relative..
Oh, and while we were there, we witnessed a shooting on Coki Beach about 20 feet from us!!
Needless to say the beach emptied in a hurry.
Thank you all for the priceless advice I get here all the time.. and nice to meet you all

I did see a shooting MJ.. and I have no desire to go back to Coki Beach. The funny part was, I didnt even know it was a gunshot. Being from the northern new egland area, when I think shooting I think shotgun! Big bang, not little pops. lol
The minute my toes sank into that powder like sand on Trunk I was done with St. Thomas! And it even took over my all time favorite place in the Caribbean .. Aruba!

Hello Pamela fellow New Englander. My wife and I originally discovered ST.J some 11 years ago after a cruise to St. Thomas and a catamaran to St. J. The Island certainly had our curiosity but it took us 8 years to venture to the Island. Now ST. John is "stuck" with us. We fell in love with the people, customs and total beauty the Island has to offer. We will be returning this October for our 3rd year in a row and hope to make it an annual venture every year there after. It seems to attract quite a few of us New Englanders. Good to talk to another forum member.
