Governor Blagojevich:

Post by XOXO »

I thought I knew what I was going to see today, based on past behavior, but I am not sure what to make of it. Governor Blagojevich did a media blitz today that included The View. I was sure that The View would be soft on him. Barbara asked him tough questions. I was also surprised that he didn't look as crazy as I have seen him in the past. He almost seemed to have a point. Why not let him call witnesses and have the tapes heard?

I even felt a little bad for him . . . if he is guilty his greed has made his world fall apart around him. He will get impeached; his wife got fired from her fund-raising job, his father-in-law seems to despise him.

Joshie: you might be glad to know that he was thinking of asking Oprah to take Obama's senate seat.

Did any of you see any of his other appearances? Did he seem crazy and desperate or desperate and sensible??? Apparently, his impeachment isn't about selling the Obama seat but it has to do with letting people get drugs from Canada and providing senior citizens rides . . . he defends this by saying that he was doing it for the Illinois people.

oh nooo... we're all so embarrassed here in Illinois.

How about his comments that to put some perspective on his arrest, he was thinking about Mandela, Gandhi, and Dr. King. Really? He's comparing himself to them?!? I'm surprised he left Joan of Arc off the list.

HAHA Joshie, that captain sure knows a lot about Oprah.

Chicago, how hard I worked today is debatable, but I had a buyer come in who is from Chicago. He said he was so embarrassed and that no one in chicago thinks Gov. Blagojevich or his wife are very nice people. Apparently, they are known to throw their weight around when out and about.

Yeah, I noticed he was comparing himself to a lot of important people. . . he does have a big ego.

Embarrassed? You can't take responsibility for crazy people. One way crazy people are crazy is being really good at hiding it!

Here in New England, corrupt politicians are popping out of the woodwork everywhere lately. A few years back we had a guy running for office fake a car accident so people would feel bad and vote for him.

The thing that blows my mind is the level of denial these politicians will go to- even after the videotape of money being exchanged airs on the local news channel over and over again.

Blago seems to take the cake lately though. He's gone bonkers. Oprah, Ghandi- seriously? He must be off his meds.

The View? They treated former POW John McCain as if he just kicked a puppy in front of them and yet they joke around with Blago and his Leggo hair.

Weird world we live in. Strange priorities.

Someone sent me a gag Ill license plate with this gov and the previous gov on it. The slogan said Illinois where our governors make our license plates.
