The great DC porta potty reunion has begun!

Post by Gromit »

OK so I had to go downtown for my Mom's birthday celebration adn driving back to Arlington down Independence Avenue I saw more porta potties in one place than I have ever seen in my life.

These are crappy iPhone pics but its the best I could do before the light turned green.

Looks like a family reunion of porta potties!!

Kinda weird and funny all at the same time!

Close to the Washington Monument....

The rows continue all the way to the Vietnam Memorial...

And you know what? I bet there will be long lines of people waiting to use them!

I have to share a porta potty picture I took at Jazz Fest... in honor of the inauguration, of course!

Wow!!!!!

I guess for $150 million, you sure can rent yourself a lot of porta-potties!

Historic, indeed.

I saw that yesterday too! It is pretty funny seeing all the porta potty's in Washington. From what I have read, there are only 5,000 seems like a lot but when you have over a million people then this is a setup for disaster.
Be prepared to hold it!

I just got confirmation on my credentials. I will be only photography the departure not the swearing in. I requested this because this will be showing Obama as he comes down the Capitol Steps after the ceremony and will Show Bush leaving in a Helicopter. I know you think this is boring but everyone else will be doing the swearing in and I wanted something different from the day.

I will post but not that day. It's going to be a busy one, I also have to do a Ball that night.

Constitution Ave. Anyway, they're all over the Mall, and in front of the Capitol. Cold as it is I'm glad I don't squat to pee...

Chet-- CRAP -- yeah .. that's what I meant. Whatever connects directly with I-66 -- honestly I don't even know the street names anymore I just know whatever I need to use.

I give directions in DC like I give on STJ-- so go across that bridge in front of WJLA TV 7 and then hang a left after the Vietnam Memorial but before you get to where you turn for DAR.

Simlar to "go up the hill and then when you get to the tree in the middle of the road Vies is on the left"

Thanks for the correction ;-)
