Day 2 December 26th--EcoTour and Shipwreck Landing
This morning we did the 3 hour eco tour with Hidden Reef Eco-Tours. It is a 3 hour kayak and snorkel trip starting at Haulover Bay. Haulover Bay got its name from the fact that in early days boaters would "haulover" their boats from one side of the low land mass to the other. Our guides were great. They were very patient and knowledgeable.

Just beautiful! Here are my boys in the Kayaks.

My boys were really excited about the water guns all of us had in our kayaks. My youngest was brave and used it one the guide who had a bigger gun.
The guides also pointed out a 13 million dollar house. When I see something like this my first question is "ohmygod, who do they do for a living??". Going out was really easy and coming back was a little more work but the guides didn't seem to be in a hurry so we took our time and enjoyed the beauty. For anyone who might be leery of doing this tour based on the fear that getting back in the kayak will be hard--don't fear. If I can do it anyone can do it.
On the snorkel we ran into a turtle. I was so excited. It really just let me gawk at it and it didn't move. Then it took off and I looked up to tell everyone to look at how beautiful it was when swimming and put my face back in to watch and it was gone. That always seems to happen. When will I learn to be selfish and enjoy it myself.

The guides brought up a sea cucumber up for us. I reluctantly held it. It really is cool. I felt like it was forming to my hands.

This is my youngest holding the sea cucumber.

We really enjoyed the tour. We didn't see as many fish as we thought we would. But we enjoyed the turtle, sea cucumber, coral, and exercise.
We went back to the villa and had a quick lunch and then went exploring.

We ended up going to dinner at Shipwreck Landing. It was nice to have someone else to do the cooking!! I had the fish and chips that I have heard about on the forum. It was good.
