Tourist Trap

Post by jdw »

We are looking forward to visiting the Tourist Trap on our next visit. Can someone tell me if any of the tables are in the shade? Also, is there a view of the water?

Thanks.

There's a tent that provides shade and wide plastic chairs.

I think you can see water from this spot but that's not why you would go there. Water is in the distance.

The food is great, company is great and it's really close to Salt Pond so you can grab some lunch after that bitch of a hike up that hill!

Go for the LOBSTAH rolls!!YUM!!
*Another fine scatterbrained production

From the far side you can see the water--but that is not the attraction.

it's a great vibe with great food

This place is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! You literally have to force yourself to leave before you have too many and can't drive home. The vibe is great-great storytelling, food and cold beers. The Lobster Roll is to die for and the guys that own the place are great. I was only disappointed in the fact that we went there on our last full day in STJ. Can't wait to go back.

Yum - I love lobster and can't wait to try - as Gromit says - the LOBSTAH rolls! How are they prepared - is it like a wrap?

What about the drinks? Are they frozen? What was your favorite?

Thanks.

perfect for what ails you.

lobster rolls are maine type (with caribbean lobster) they come on a toasted buttered hotdog roll--as any self respecting lobster roll should! :D

I can't take it anymore  . All of this talk of delicious lobster rolls is making me crazy. This place is on our must, must, must do list now.

We were just on island but I had not read this many good reviews and somehow, we never made it to Salt Pond this trip :? .

Definitely next time!
Going "home" again October 26th!
