Sox...so you concede that there were only 4 countries involved in the invasion of Iraq. The rest that came in after the fact really don't count since we were talking about Bush going it alone. Nato didn't back us then either! Once again, you try to change the subject because you guys just throw this stuff out there. You have no reply when someone calls you on your "facts". Completely predictable!

It took you eight years and him leaving office you guys to admit any wrongdoing by Bush. The way I see it, Obama should get a free pass for the next 7 years and 8 months. What, are you unpatriotic because you don't support our President in this "time of great crisis". You have a lot of nerve since you elected him. Sound familiar?

Anyway, didn't I beat you into submission just a few posts ago? Heheheheheee...just kidding.

Peace my Conservative friends...its Sunday.

You did quite me for a moment. But as mentioned here before, I just can't help myself! Sorry.

This is a silly arguement to engage in, because as much as you want to go back to the lack of a coalition, I can simply say:

Every relavent Democrat at the time voted in favor of that war (and I would venture to guess that they had a little different "intelligence" than you and I). Every last one of them.

Last thing re the coalition. The fact that 30 some-odd countried became involved later as opposed to the invasion is more impressive to me. Every war in history has become less popular the longer it has gone on...And this war takes the cake in that department (short of Vietnam).

I just took a closer look at that chart I provided...The majority of those countries began their participation in the Iraq War in 2003. The invasion took place on March 19, 2003. The total number of troops provided by the countries below was 18,000 (in addition to the 4 countries that were a part of the gound invasion - USA, UK, Australia, Poland).

This "Bush went it alone" theory is yet another myth perpetuated by the media - and of course you have bought it hook, line, and sinker.

I read an interesting quote from a tea party goer...The interviewer was asking this gentleman about the fact that the Boston Globe gave absolutely no coverage to the Tea Parties...The guy said, "If Barack Obama had been the King of England, the Boston Globe wouldn't have covered The Revolution". How sad, but how very true.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some mulch to spread!

April 16th Boston Globe website.

Right, a six paragraph article taken from the AP. I'm sorry, was there a local story done? Who from the Globe actually covered an event?

I would've thought that 500,000 people protesting across the nation would've warranted at least a below the fold front-page mention. I guess not "Anti-War" enough for the Globe!

That's an attempt at a "bob and weave" move. The first complaint was that the Globe gave "absolutely no coverage". Then when it's demonstrated that in fact they did provide some coverage, the complaint is quickly modified to not having given enough coverage, or coverage of the sort it may have merited.

The "bob and weave" move can be very effective, but when it's not done well, it just looks silly.

I want to jump in and throw some punches but honestly I have been in such a state of euphoria since January I just can't even get myself riled up ;-) Damn, Obama does work miracles.

I'll take what I've seen since January hands DOWN to anything I saw from 2001-2008. Now, maybe I know how all those die hard patriotic Bush fans felt for the his two terms. I think I'm going to enjoy our turn. It is so nice to be on this side.

Does that mean you're finally finished spreading the manure?

First off, Lex of Earth...If you read my post you'll see that I was referencing an interview that I read...The question came from the interviewer, not me.

Second - No, the Boston Globe did NOT provide ANY converage of the event. They did not publish one original written word about the event. They linked up to an AP wire story, and did not provide any commentary themselves.

So I stand by it - The Boston Globe did not provide any coverage of the Tea Parties.

I do not believe there is any "manure" in hemlock. Could be wrong - maybe Lex can help me, since he is from "Earth".

Or, maybe loria can help - you know, since her Avatar actually resembles a Hemlock Tree:

<a href="http://s351.photobucket.com/albums/q480 ... emlock.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i351.photobucket.com/albums/q480 ... emlock.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

So how 'bout it loria - any manure in a Hemlock?

I'm assuming that JT was assuming that if you're mulching, you must have already fertilized and planted. Mulching comes last. So, if you're mulching, then you're finally done spreading all your manure (assuming you used manure for fertilizer). There's also a bit of a joke there. Did you get it?

If you're mulching with hemlock bark, there isn't any manure in it. It's mulch, not fertilizer. You didn't mulch before fertilizing, did you? You did fertilize, didn't you? Then plant? These things really need to be done in a particular order. You may have created work for yourself. How big's the plot? What do you grow?

Yeah, I hear ya Flip! I share your euphoria! I was in a particularly euphoric state when:

1. Bush went on Leno and insulted Special Olympians

2. Bush presented Gordon Brown with 12 DVD's as a "gift" on Brown's first visit with Bush here on the mainland. Nothing says USofA better than DVD's that don't work on the european players!

3. Bush presented the Queen with a new iPod!!! Stay classy, San Diego!!!

4. Bush's secretary of State, Condy Rice, presented her Russian counterpart with a cute red button that read "Reset" in English, and "Peregruzka" in Russian, which actually translates to "Overcharged" - oopsy!

5. When Bush answered a question from an Austrian reporter at the NATO press conference in Strasbourg by saying that he didn’t know "...what the right expression was in Austrian, but in English, we have this saying..."...Wow, you'd think a man as worldly as he would know there is in fact, no "Austrian" language.

6. When Bush bowed to the Saudi King Abdullah (boy, that was bad!).

7. When Bush went on foreign soil and referred to me and my children as "often arrogant, dismissive, even derissive..."

8. When Bush closed Guantanamo Bay with absolutely no plan in relation to where to actually send the prisoners. Shocking that so far, there have been no takers from other countries around the world.

9. Bush filled his new cabinet with tax cheat after tax cheat. After tax cheat. And again. Maybe one more time.

10. Bush signed a $787 billion stimulus that provided for the AIG bonuses - but then when they became public knowledge, said he had no idea they were there...And then helped to cause a mob scene at the homes of those execs, many having to send their children away for a period.

11. Bush sent a letter to Jacques Chirac after his Inaug telling him how he was looking forward to working with him, etc...And not sending a similar letter the the actual sitting president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. Man, Sarkozy was NOT happy, as he said he had been trying to get a sit down with the new Pres, to no avail...But his predecessor gets a letter? Unbelievable, except it's not.

12. Bush threatened to amend the Constitution by taxing the AIG bonuses at 90%.

13. Bush fired the CEO of a privately held company.

14. Bush went abroad (I believe Turkey, a Muslim nation) and said the the United States is "Not a Christian Nation"....Hmmm...75%?

15. Bush repealed the law that post 911 allowed commercial pilots to carry a firearm on board (after they passed a federal gun safety program, of course)...Talk about euphoria! I feel sooooo much safer now!

16. Bush offered to help settle the "Kashmir" dispute between India and Pakistan, without first asking India if they NEEDED his help. India was not happy, and swiftly told Bush his help was not wanted...Miracles!

17. Bush signed a bill that will fund overseas abortions

18. Bush ripped up the Constitution by shifting responsibility of the 2010 Census from the Commerce Department and putting it in the hands of Karl Rove (Rahm Emmanuel).

19. Bush sent $900 million to rebuild Gaza - which in effect will go right into the pockets of the terrorist organization Hamas...Good times.

20. Bush named more "Czars" than the old Soviet Union.

21. Bush suggested that veterans pay for their combat injuries with their own private insurance. That idea lasted about 48 hours, until the political winds blew against it like a category 5 hurricane.

22. Bush more or less repealed Clinton's Welfare Reform Act by now actually incentivizing states' by the number of people they put on welfare, not the number they send off (by gainful employment).

23. Bush lied to the American people by telling them that they are getting a "tax cut" in April, when in fact it is a tax "credit", and one you will have to claim as income on your 2009 taxes.

24. Bush went to the Summit of the Americas and blamed the problem of the Mexican Drug Cartels on...you guessed it...America.

All in a mere four months...He's been busy!
