Ideally, we'd love to find a similar 2 bedroom if the cost is cheaper. Any suggestions? I was thinking to go in April next year to get out of the peak season.
We really liked Villa Tiffany in Coral Bay, price is good, view is amazing, the pool isn't as awesome as Bay Rum Breeze looks though.
Looks Nice, where is Villa Tiffany located? How far of a ride to the North Shore beaches?

Ah, someone like me! I always take about 1,000. This time i didn't bring my "mac daddy" camera (a Nikon D200). My little point & shoot is good, but your pics make me sad I didn't bring the biggun this time. Usually I shoot with a wide angle zoom- I'm going to try the longer zoom next time- your shots are fantastic! You took pics of things that the rest of us are so used to seeing (like the Lew Henley's sign) that we have just forgotten. I love that!

PS- yes, please- post them! Maybe a link- would love to see!

Two bedrooms because you don't like each other very much or because you want to bring other people with you?

Do you want it toward the middle of the island or Coral Bay, or is the Cruz Bay side ok?

Does it have to be as upscale as Bay Rum Breeze? Does it have to have a pool?

My husband have taken most of our trips with just the two of us so I'm fairly well acquainted with some of the smaller villa rental options.

>>>Not sure if this year was cold for St John, but I would have liked the air/water a few degrees warmer.

I think the water is cold in June, so you can tell how spoiled I've gotten by our July and August trips.

LOL on the "bedrooms". I mentioned two bedrooms since I doubt there are upscale 1 bedroom villas available. Who would build a 1 bedroom villa? Pool/hot tub, not really necessary.

We do appreciate something modern, not too keen on island/fishy/colorful decor. As far as location, Bay Rum Breeze was close enough to the north shore beaches although it would be nice to be even closer next trip. Something secluded and quiet with a view is a must. The only time we would go to Cruz bay will be for a few dinners, an afternoon of shopping and groceries.

Thanks for the advice in advance...

Great TR and Pics and welcome to the Obsession. You were pretty high up which can make things 10 degrees cooler too.

Great pictures! Scrolling through kind of made me feel like I was there! 800 pictures is usually about what I take. Then it is hard to choose the best ones sometimes!

The St John Villa map was recently updated, see Villa Tiffany close to Sanders bay. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie ... 2&t=h&z=14

It took ~20 min to get to Francis or Maho.

Oh yeah, you GET IT :P

Like so many others, thank you for the Trip Report! I also love seeing it through the eyes of a newbie (we were back in 2004)!

Two weeks on STJ would be a dream!! We've done 9 days, but never 2 weeks!

Thank you for such beautiful pictures, I was right there with you at Trunk Bay :D
