Okay, I'm getting excited.
I saw "I was planning on bringing and .... flip-flop" and got all excited. But then I realized you were talking about shoes and I got all sad.Gromit wrote:
I was planningon bringing 1 pair of Keens and 1 pair of Flip Flops-- which would be a first for me. Of course I could see myself losing one shoe from each overboard and therefore being screwed for the rest of the trip and having to fly home barefoot since it's tough to find size 11's in most places. But that's OK!!
Kellyanna ... I think Syd said there is an extra bed! We could be the 4th couple!

Okay, folks. What I have so far: Stubbed toes, flushing issues, motion sickness, broken and/or lost sunglasses, cockroaches, and bruises.
So y'all are saying to scrap everything I had planned to pack and just bring a helmet, body padding, a first aid kit, Imodium, cheap sunglasses, and gallon sized zip loc bags?
This is sounding more fun by the minute....

Kellee and Margo can tell you it's ALLLLLLLLLL GOOD!!!!
Who said if you can't tie a good knot, tie lots of them? That is beyond true. Trust. I floated away on a houseboat on Lake Powell once because someone tied a bow. No, not a bow, a bow.
Anyway!
The impending trip report is going to make or break future sailing trips I've been planning or invited on, so I really cannot wait for you all to go, either. No pressure.
And if there is poop or cockroaches, DO NOT TELL ME. I like my fantasy land.

Obviuosly a better class of boat then Im used to.California Girl wrote:I never saw a single bug on the boat, except a Jack Spaniard wasp that somehow managed to sting me on the hand. But he was outside, and I think he was just flying by and stopped to rest his wings when I put my hand down on him. Other than that, not a bug or skeeter did I see!

TP / Poopy and / Swimming in the Morning
VH
None of the boats we have chartered or my boat has a problem with TP, IF used correctly. Just use the right amount and know how to use and or Pump the Head.
My advise Don't swim in the morning in the same spot where your anchored !! Some charter companies use holding tanks, other ( THE MOORINGS ) let fly if you know what I mean!!
Its great fun, Send pics from the Willy T!!

I said If you can't tie a good...tie lots of them. But the real credit goes to Captain Steve from TMM in Tortola who we hired for a day to show us the ropes....errr I mean lines when we rented a Cat for a Bareboat sailing trip.

Same is true here too, but that does remind me of something I learned the first time we sailed - the grocers will deliver your provisions in cardboard boxes, but you have to stow them without the boxes - they don't want you to take corrugated cardboard boxes aboard. Apparently roaches lay eggs in them and they don't want them hatching on the boat. I never would have thought of that myself, so FYI...California Girl wrote:I never saw a single bug on the boat,
