I have to agree Maine Lobsters are the best! You can't compare!

However, I did have a nice caribbean lobster at the Equator Restaurant one night at Caneel Bay.

I know lots of people like the Lime Inn, but John's lobster there was really tough--I think it was overcooked. I also did not care for the fish I had there. However, we loved the blackened shrimp appetizer and the atmosphere, so we'd definitely go back and try a different dish.

The lobster he had at Zozo's in June was definitely not stuffed, it was sliced and sauteed.

We went to Morgan's Mango once for lobster night--it was really early and they were already out. We saw that some groups had multiple takeout containers of the lobsters, so maybe that's why? Anyway, if you are going for that special dinner, I'd get there at opening. They did still give us a free glass of wine though! :D

I thought of another lobster dish John liked—the Caribbean lobster tacos at Ocean Grill.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

We generally didn't get into town for dinner until after 7 pm so I wasn't entirely surprised that we missed out. No amount of warnings could get island-time-moving hubs ready in time for lobsters.

Okay....now I'm hungry!!
Ah – such a decision, NE Lobster or Caribbean Lobster. My take is – eat like a local. I enjoy them both. Bring on the butter.
