Mayan Sky looked great also, but I think I remember someone saying there were no screens on the windows. This was a concern as we had mucho mosquitos in May

Skyridge (listed on bookitvi.com) is one of our favorites for the magnificent views over Sir Francis Drake and Bordeaux, the comfort and the outdoor showers.

Next door (but private) is Casa Luna, listed with carefreegetaways.com. Our friends stayed there and loved it.

I've always wanted to stay at La Mer, listed with destinationstjohn.com and Drake's View, listed as stjohndrakesview.com

Hope this helps. Happy hunting!

Susan and Herb,
Glad to know about no screens on windows at Mayan Sky. Did they think since it was fully air-conditioned you wouldn't want to open the windows???
"Screens on windows?" Add this to my list of questions to ask before putting down a deposit.

Guys,
Please don't quote my on "no screens at Myan Sky". I kind of remember vaguely, and at my age, God knows my memory is chock full of SJ villa info. that sometimes gets mixed up.
Someone did mention to me to ask about screens, which I actually never thought about either.

Randy,
Just wanted to let you know that I showed Reef Maddness to my husband last night and he loved it. Go figure. I said I don't know about the furniture and he said I like it. So, when will the villa be completed?

When will it be done... That's the question I asked our builder this morning. We're coming down the home stretch - we have to as the budget is severely damaged. His work will be done by the end of July. Our furniture will arrive around the first of August and we plan on staying there for the first time as soon as we can get the bed set up! We plan on finishing the painting in the great room ourselves and doing all the decorating in the following 2 months so that it's ready for rental in October. BTW - I didn't take your comment on the furniture as criticism, and everybody certainly has their own tastes in everything. I just felt compelled to add my 2 cents worth... Thanks for thinking of us...
