Waterklp on Contant Point has a pool and great view across Pillsbury Sound. It is a downstairs apartment of a house, but the owners never rent while they are there.

Angelica rents for that price because it pretty much has no view. I called about staying there last year and was told "well, if you're tall and you stand on your tiptoes you might be able to see like one inch of the ocean through the trees."

Just FYI :)

Hi! You may also want to check into Aqua Gem through Caribbean villas. The bedrooms are the pool level with access by a spiral staircase to the great room. The view of Great cruz Bay is vaery nice. It is not an upscale property but for the price it was nice and clean and had all that we needed. http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/aquagem/aquagem.html
Happy hunting!
P.s. if you are interested I would be happy to send you some photos so you can get a better idea of what it looks like

I really, really wish I'd found you all before I booked this trip. I'm sure my place will be fine but I had NO IDEA there were so many options in this size/price range.

What a great excuse to return, though- as if that's even necessary.

Estate Concordia "eco tents"

Post by BabaAus »

Being a former island inhabitant you certainly know about Concordia but since no one mentioned 'em, I will. I think they're $100.00 a day from May through whenever. We've stayed there 3 times and have every intention of going back. And they have a pool, too, though I've only been in it once. I tolerate the plane ride from New England to STT to swim in the Caribbean, not a pewl. ;-)

We stayed at Coconuts last October and had a great time. It's up on Gifft Hill so it has a great view. They list the off season price for two as $1820 but it was being offered then at a 10% discount which made it less than $1650.

Some day I would love to stay at String of Pearls. It is so romantic. No swimming pool but a great hot tub on the deck. You are right on the water and a walk away from the Westin. Sure you could use their pool. It really is great. Have no idea regarding the rental rate. Maybe you could get a deal! You know why! Some day in the future Jack and I will stay there to celebrate a special occasion. Our car is parked just up the road. Guess we have to sell the boat first!

When I first moved on island, I stayed at Stoneharbor and it was nice and that was 2003.......
I really liked being walking distance to Island Blues........

I've been bookmarking smaller villas/condos in anticipation of Amy and me going back without the girls someday. Here's some that haven't been mentioned yet...

Siempre Azul - I think someone on the forum stayed there recently.

Far Horizons

Sail View - I think either Ruth or Pia mentioned this place.

Time to start working on convincing the wife that we have to go back soon!

We recently stayed at Sailview, it is not far to Skinny Legs in Coral Bay and only 10 minutes to Maho.

The owners, Mike & Eileen, are friends of Ruth and nieghbors of Pia. They are super nice people.

Sailview is a "guest suite". There are two suites below Mike & Eileen's living quarters. It has beautiful handmade furniture, amazing marble floors, A/C, wi-fi, cable TV, a nice deck and terrace. No pool, no kitchen(there is a small fridge), but there is a BBQ grill that is equipped with utensils. It just started renting in January, it is very clean, has nice linens and NO BUGS.

The best thing about Sailview is the extreme affordability. If you really want something economical, Sailview is really quite nice.

It will be in August sometime so I am not worried about finding a place to stay. I am sure there will be plenty of places.

I just spent the past week at Rick's, I don't want to go back again so soon, although the beer is pretty damn good and Jorge and Tom know how to throw a party  (Hey Rick, Sorry about the coffee table, the guys were waving dollar bills so I had to do my a dance)
