Prayers for my mother, please
Re: Prayers for my mother, please
Dear Kathy - yes, prayer can make a difference, and I am promising mine for you, your mother Linda, and your family. May you know courage, strength and faith in this most trying time.

Just prayed for her
Hi there....I just prayed for her and I lifted you up to the Lord too. God bless....Bill
You are never too old to have a happy childhood...
I'm new here but my prayers and thoughts are with your mother and all your family.
We don't know why God does things and he makes it so very hard at times to accept his wishes and to keep believing in him. But trust in him more than you ever have right now. He's bought her through so much, he will do so again.
I went through similar w/ my mom and there isn't a day that goes by that don't still miss her, she never got to see my 7 wonderful grandchildren (her great GKs) but I believe she sees them from above.
God Bless & be with you all.
Debbie

No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and kind words.
It means so much to me. I have always been a private person who tends to keep things to myself.
It wasn't easy for me to put this out there, share it and ask for help, but I think it has made all the difference.
I find it interesting that when I had such a strong emotional need, I felt compelled to share it here with you guys and not anywhere else.
I'm sure that's because I know so many people here are so compassionate and supportive.
Vacations and particularly St John are the added pleasures of life. I'm so glad we have such a wonderful common interest, but everyone here seems to care about each other even more than the forum topic.
Amazingly, my mother is now off of the ventilator. While she still has congestion and is being treated for a respiratory infection, her overall condition has improved.
While we are still a long way from okay, we are so thankful for ground that's been gained.
We've been warned that there are many other issues and complications that may arise so we're holding our breath and taking it day by day.
I'll be sure to let you know how it's going.
Please keep praying, and thank you all so much.

Kathy-
My prayers & best wishes for your Mom & family.
We're all a lucky family here on the forum...
We've seen all of the trials & tribulations of lifes' challenges, and when we hit those beaches, we get to rejuvenate and allow ourselves to find bewilderment with the gorgeous strokes of Gods' paintbrush.
Personally, it always reminds me of the things that I'm grateful for.
I think I can speak for most here, when I say,
"Keep strong, and bend our ear whenever you need."
All of my best,-and wishing you & yours many years of
Smiles-
Jimmy

Prayers & well wishes are still coming your way. Glad to hear about the progress, one baby step at a time. Know the toll it is taking on you & your family but you have alot of good people all over behind you & pulling for you.
Remember to take time for yourselves and do some R&R for a little bit here & there also. That's so important for all of you.

For an update on my mother:
She's still in the hospital but doing okay.
(Sunday will be nine weeks
)
She recovered enough that the doctor though she was well enough to be released to a rehab facility to regain her strength. We thought it was too early and unfortunately, she seemed to go downhill within the first week.
We insisted she go back to the hospital and found out she had gotten dehydrated and developed a kidney infection as well as a condition called ascites where she had fluid in her chest outside the lung.
They removed that, treated the infection, etc., but those issues set off a domino effect on a bunch of other issues, kidneys, etc. so she had another lengthy stay in the ICU.
Thankfully, she has again pulled through these problems and is feeling pretty good comparatively.
They are still addressing some issues concerning her kidneys and blood pressure, but may be well enough to come home next week.
We're holding our breath.
We thank God for every day longer we've had with her.
Your prayers have meant so much to us.
Thank you again.
