I never would have understood the depth of your pain until 10 months ago, when we got our puppy. The love that dogs give to us, unconditionally, is truly amazing. They know when we are happy, when we are sad, when we are frightened...they look to us for clues as to how they can please US. They are never judgmental.
I am so, so sorry for your loss. Just know that you gave him the best life he could have had. And, your lives were made richer by all that he gave to you.
I'm so sorry for you loss. My fur baby is getting up there in years, and I was terrified of losing her and having no distraction from my sadness, so we adopted baby#2. I can't imagine what it will feel like to lose my Abby.
You were so brave and strong to stop Duffy's suffering.
Hugs,
Minde
Gromit, My wife and I have 2 dogs, 4 cats and 2 birds..A virtual zoo.. We love them all like the children we have never been able to have...I truly understand your loss and hope the pain of it passes quickly. God bless you...
It helped in the depth of our sorrow, when we came across so many "so what" reactions out in the world, to remember how sad it was that those people never knew the depth and length of a pet's love.
Those that know, know. Those that don't, miss out.
My heart goes out to you. Duffy certainly gave you lots of love in return for your love. I do believe that our beloved pets have a place in heaven.
Peace and prayers.
