I didn't see it as being a drunk.
I do that all the time. I never "thnik" I'm drunk. Drunk posting can be dangerous. Maybe if I could develop acid reflux, I'd behave myself. I have a cast iron stomach.

I guess I'm a total drunk and didn't realize it. I feel fine in the morning and don't have a hangover. WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN???   (Now I didn't drink the last 2 nights because I didn't feel like it.) It means I hope we can have cocktails together sometime!!
When are you going back after this trip. June or Nov.? We could do some damage at Woody's happy hour.

Have a great trip!!

Acid reflux is an excellent governor when it comes to wine. Fortunately it has no effect on Rum or Vodka!

Whew! What a relief Margo...I wouldn't want those jello shots to give you any trouble!!
Cypressgirl...don't know when we'll get back. Crash's mom is going downhill. So we're going to live it up this time!! Maybe someday we can hoist a few at Woody's! I'd love that!! :D

All I can say is that I have REALLY high HDL- like in the 70s. Compliments of my nightly red.

So I don't feel too guilty about a glass of wine most nights and sometimes two. :D

See, I want to be around for a long time. It's good for the heart. I consider it equivalent to going to the gym. It is one of my daily duties.

And if your kids asked you the same question 5 times in a minute before you had a chance to answer, you'd do it too!

This "poll", of course is pretty much reflective of nothing. It's such an unrepresentative sample that it's meaningless, but I was just curious what the response might be.

Here's some things that did catch my eye. The Drinking Poll got more hits than the Smoking Poll and is getting more replies, but has fewer actual respondents to the poll question itself. Go figure.

If anyone is curious, here's some numbers:

In 2006, the CDC found that the percentage of adults in the US who drank alcohol was 61%. A more recent Gallup poll puts the % in the same neighborhood. And in 2006, the CDC found that the % of current drinkers who had five or more drinks on at least one day in the last year was 20%.

Pretty much my thoughts. Vacation's really the only time I'm not already too tired to have a drink. And drinks taste better there, for whatever reason.

Sometimes you dont realize how much you might be putting away on a regular basis.
Years ago I had a friend who cut back on the wine after they implemented recycling in his town and he actually saw how much he was drinking in the form of a full recycling bucket.
And when I reach into the cabinet to get the rum, and I notice the rum is low, its better that I say "hey, rum is kinda low - gotta pick some up" vs. "jeez, I need more rum AGAIN?"

I just now noticed something. When totalled, the percentages in these polls do not add up to 100%. One totals 95%, the other 96%.

I just went back to Cid's dog poll and it only totals 95%.
