Welcome! It will be SUPER close but you COULD make the 4pm if everything goes super smooth.

And if you get hte 4pm you'll be there before 5pm.

Also be sure to rent your Jeep REALLY soon. Don't wait or you may not have many options.

We've always used STJ car rental.

Welcome to the Forum! My flight three weeks ago landed at 3:30 - we did carry-on with 6 people. No problem at all making the 4:00 out of Charlotte (arrives STJ at 4:45). Just be sure to tell the taxi driver that you are trying to make the 4:00 St John Ferry from Town. I've rented twice from Spencer's on St John. Both times I had good experiences.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum!! I can't really answer your ferry questions, we just alsways assume we are taking the red Hook ferry and go with that.

As far as a jeep (or car) rental goes, everyone has had their good and bad experiences. Whichever company you decide to rent from, you then will have your own opinion of it. Recommend it or trash it? Don't know. But you will have a great time coming to your own conclusions!

Again welcome, and we're looking forward to a trip report and some pictures when you return!

The ferry from downtown is @ a 40 -45 minute trip, so you very well could make it.
I'd encourage you to pick a jeep rental soon, once they're gone, they're gone!
Good luck &

Hey John ... Welcome!!!

Did you say you were staying in Coral Bay? If you are, you'll want to pick up your car in Cruz Bay when you get in. I don't think the taxis run out there and if they did it would cost alot. We were getting in late few years ago and went with Courtesy - they stayed late for us.

Have a great trip!!

Welcome to the forum John. The smartest thing you ever did was drop the cruise and decided to land your feet on St. John for 10 days.

I'll be on the island the same time as you. For a couple of days anyway. 15th thru 24th. Tap me on the shoulder and say hello. You can't miss me, i'm the one with the salty stained Boston Red sox hat on backwards. Stained from the swim off the boat to Soggy Dollar Bar to get my medicine "the Painkiller". Now I can never get rid of that hat.

Have fun and question away. The folks on here are great!
