Here's what I would like my iPhone to do. Let's say I have my laptop and my iPhone but I'm in a place where there is no wifi. I'd like to be able to plug my iPhone into my laptop and run the laptop off the 3G network.
Mr. B...any clue whether the update will allow me to do that?

Wisconsin, smell the dairy air
Seems like all my iPhone post start like this... But...if your phone is jailbroken, you can do that now...no cable requiered. However, to answer your question, yes, with a but. The 3.0 software will have tethering support, but it will be up to your service provider wether they allow it or not. I'm thinking AT&T will be a 'not'.

Does anyone know how to get the STJ spice webcam back on to the worldview app? It was there, but when the camera was swapped it got dropped. I had the free version of worldview and noticed there is a pay version, so I thought I would try it. Obviously its not on either version, but there is a spot on the pay version to add your own URL for picture and video. I tried a bunch of combinations and no luck to get it to work.

Thats what I do now since they dropped it a few months back from the worldview app. Its just nice and easy to have all the webcams there in one app in front of you. Its just annoying that the spicecam was there before and for some reason its not on there now.Pete (Mr. Marcia) wrote:Is there a reason why you want to access the Spicecam through Worldview? I simply added the url for the Spicecam site to the favorites on my iPhone and then moved it to an icon so it would be easy to find.
Worldview folks are you out there??....bring back the spicecam!
I'm liking the DirecTV app which lets you schedule to record shows on your DVR from your iPhone.
I can't tell you how many times I've said to myself, "Self, you need to remember to record the new season of [insert name of random show here]."
This way, when I remember it, I can do it right then and there!!

*Another fine scatterbrained production
Ooh yeah, that is a good one! It was a major PIA to schedule something through their mobile site or even their normal site. Now with the app its super easy and fast too!Gromit wrote:I'm liking the DirecTV app which lets you schedule to record shows on your DVR from your iPhone.
