Spirit Airlines Question

Post by Lulu76 »

Hey everyone, I have never flown Spirit before, so I have a question.

Can you do the 24-hour advance check-in if you are flying to and from STT? I'd like to check in the day before because I have to be in Atlanta so early, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask and see if anyone knows.

When we flew from Myrtle Beach in July, I went to the Spirit website and tried several times to print out boarding passes 24 hrs in advance but it kept kicking me out. When I finally got through to a live person, she told me you can't print them out, had to check in at airport. I asked her why they didn't take it off the website if that was the case. She didn't have an answer for me. It was very frustrating to try all day the day before flight! I'll go back to my Charlotte non-stop flight for next year even though I'll probably pay out the wazoo!!

Ouch. That isn't the answer I wanted to hear.

But how many people will really be at the airport at 5 a.m.? I'm hoping it'll be OK. And, if not, then I will just get that next flight out.

I think you'll be fine at the airport. We had 8:00 AM flight, were there at 6:15 and went through pretty fast. My real frustration was more spending all day on trying to print out boarding passes and finding out it wasn't an option to begin with. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Even if you could print them out, their website would probably be down  It seems to be down alot especially when trying to get a special, pick a seat or even to pay for your luggage.

I'm not giving them one extra dime, so no purchasing luggage for me. But I've yet to see any of these mystery sale fares they offer.

I just need a plane to get me to STT. I don't need frills, especially not for hundreds of extra dollars. I'll live if I have to check in at Hartsfield. Even though I suspect it truly is the eighth gate of hell.

We printed ours ahead of time out of Detroit. But couldn't get threw on our return leg from STT when we tried from Connections. Were like you just get us there on the cheap no frills no problem. Spirit isn't known for great customer service if ya need it.

I have a friend from Detroit who flies on Spirit everywhere and swears by it. I'm just not sure. I guess we'll see...

I had no problem printing in March from my computer 24 hrs before.
Also no worries from STT either. I printed them at this internet place across from Glady's cafe in STT.
