Last-Minute Trip, As In TOMORROW!!!!

Post by genipgirl »

Okay, we are minutes away from booking a trip to St. John, leaving tomorrow, (thanks to FF miles). . . HOWEVER, the weather looks very iffy, and I would hate to go through all of this "last-minute drama" to have cloudy/wet weather for an impromptu weekend on St. John. I'm one of those that cannot deal to be at the beach in the rain. . . to me it is torture not to have sunny blue skies and sparkling blue water.

I know it usually says scattered showers, but is anyone on-island right now that could give me some insight? Or should I just start drinking, now, and pack and forget about it????

Quick responses, please. . .

Come on down, the weather is beautiful! It's dry, bug free and very HOT.

They say partly cloudy, chance of showers 365 days a year. Go for it, and have fun! The night before our trip is my favorite night ever. The anticipation is almost like a tease.
Have fun and

It'll be beautiful. Now, go pack and drink a painkiller for me when you get there. (Actually, I'm drinking painkillers for everyone right now.)

They were good going down (I use the recipe on Ruth's shot glass, and mine are almost as good as Soggy's), but now everything's a bit fuzzy...

Wish us luck. . . we are all four packed (two kiddos: 11, 7) and almost ready for our 6:25 AM flight. . .

Thank you for all of your words of encouragement. . . after my 40th Birthday Bash on the 27th (Gilligan's Island theme), I will post a short trip report.

I'm still feeling very iffy about this, but I do love my St. John, so all will be well for my 40th Birthday!!!!

I did it!!!! :D

I will try to pull together a mini-trip report next week, as this week I'm focusing on the 40th Birthday Bash ~ Gilligan's Island theme, complete with an S.S. Minnow and huts in the backyard.

I did see KC at Woody's on Thursday night, which was a nice treat. It would've been better if it would've been Jimmy ~ But not complaining. He kept looking out the window where we were standing and grinning. It was cute. Too bad I don't even know one of his songs (No stones, please.)

Thanks for the words of encouragement to get me to push the "SEND" button on the impromptu reservations. . . It was FABULOUS!!!!
